About DAVID V
David Villalta is a Producer/Engineer/Multi-Instrumental Artist, 10+ year veteran of the music industry and graduate of The Los Angeles Recording School whose professional career started engineering for Juicy J while assisting on
Wiz Khalifa's "Taylor Allderdice" Mixtape
Shortly after, he worked with the Oscar-Winning rap group “Three 6 Mafia” in 2013, Designing /wiring founding member Dj Paul's home studio while learning the craft of Production and Recording. He engineered, mixed, mastered, performed and even digitized the original master tapes of Three 6 Mafia followed by touring as Live/Studio Engineer and performing on stage. He remains Dj Paul's chief-engineer.
He returned to his hometown Ponchatoula, LA in 2015 to build his studio, Studio 55; to not only begin implementing his years of professional experience in the studio but to also bring his knowledge to the immense and unique talent found in New Orleans and surrounding areas. He was determined to find something refreshing and new to reinvigorate his passion for finding new talent and craft a sonic identity with them.
Becoming General Manager of Louisiana Red Hot Records in 2020 fulfills his vision of helping bring major prominence to New Orleans and Louisiana artists. “With the diverse and incredible talent of this roster there’s no better place to be than Louisiana Red Hot Records. It’s truly an honor to work among esteemed artists and colleagues that I also call my family and will always be treated as such.”
